„Proudly from the ‘Berg River’ – Recognising all achievements, no matter how small.”

Local golf star Moswin Moore has made a huge impact on the Bergriver community as CEO of the PSDF.

Since 2005, he has been actively coaching young people in the finer points of the game and has hosted a number of golf clinics in the Berg River municipality. Moswin currently coaches a group of youngsters at the Piketberg Golf Club as part of the PSDF Youth Sports Development.

Moswin was awarded the “Sportsman of the Year” title 3 times in a row, from 2002 to 2004. He also received the “Most Promising Golf Player” award from the President of the Boland Sports Council in 2004.

As captain of the Steynville Secondary golf team, he was crowned West Boland Golf Champion in 2003 and 2004. In 2006 he studied Sports Management at Northling College, Parow Campus and took up the position of Sports Coach at Steynville Secondary School.

He also worked with the Department of Sport and Culture, coaching various sports codes including golf, soccer, cricket and rugby. He qualified as a career player on the Sunshine Tour in 2013 and was awarded the Most Promising Sportsman of the Year in 2014.
